Nourishing Grass-fed Bison Burger with Baked Sweet Potato Fries

You will need: Force of Nature Bison Bacon Burger Patties , olive oil, Dave's Killer Bread Burger Buns (if you are gluten free, you can use an Udi's bun, or add extra potatoes on the side) thinly sliced cheese, onion, tomato, your favorite burger condiments ( Ketchup, mustard, or Primal Kitchen Mayo (this one contains avocado oil), one organic sweet potato, pasture raised butter, and salt & pepper.

I love this recipe because it's absolutely delicious and very easy to make. Everything that you will need is at most Whole Foods locations.

  1. Preheat oven to 425º. Scrub the skins of sweet potato lightly to get rid of any dirt and soil. On a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, prick sweet potatoes all over with a fork.

  2. Place sweet potato slices in over and set for 45-50 minutes in oven.

  3. At the 40 min mark, it's time to start cooking the bison patty. Lightly spray olive oil onto skillet and place bison patty over medium heat. Meanwhile, lightly toast Dave's killer buns in toaster. Place thin slice of cheese on patty right before it's done. Let it melt a bit. Cook bison patty until well browned on each side at about 165 degrees Fahrenheit internal temperature.

  4. Note: During this process, you can check on the sweet potato with a fork to see if they are soft and ready.

  5. Place patty on bun and top with onions, tomatoes, and your favorite condiments.

  6. When sweet potato fries are crispy, remove from oven and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  7. Enjoy together!
