Candy Cane Peppermint Milkshake

Christmastime is a great reason for trying new foods, and this candy cane peppermint milkshake is one of my favorites. It's simple and delicious, and you can easily add collagen for extra protein. Below, you will see simple steps that will tell you exactly how you can make it.



Ingredients:


  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream (look for organic)

  • 1/2 cup milk (raw and organic if possible)

  • 1/4 cup candy cane crushed (look for a natural-dye based brand, like YumEarth)

  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

  • whipped cream

  • optional: collagen for extra protein that will promote blood sugar balance


Instructions:


  • Add ice cream, milk, crushed cane pieces and peppermint extract to a blender.

  • Mix until well combined.

  • Pour into glass and top with whipped cream and candy cane pieces.


It's simple, but delicious. If you need to opt for a dairy free version, coconut milk and coconut milk ice cream are the swaps that you will want to make.
