The Smoothie Formula

Sometimes, a morning smoothie for breakfast is the easiest and most nourishing option. It's a great way to get a lot of nutrients in - both micronutrients and macronutrients, and with the method below, you'll be able to make amazing smoothies that line up with what you need nutritionally.

The Smoothie Method:

In each smoothie, you should be aware of a few different things:

  1. Your base

  2. Your carbs

  3. Your protein

  4. Your fat

  5. Your additions

Using the formula below, you can make sure that you make the most satisfying smoothie every time.

Base (1 cup of liquid) + carbs (1.5 cups) + protein (20 grams) + fat (1/2 tbsp.) + additions (1 tsp, up to 3), add ice as needed for consistency

What are some examples of this method?

1 cup organic milk + 1.5 cup frozen organic strawberries + 20 grams collagen protein + 1/2 tbsp. MCT oil + 1 tsp coconut flakes

1 cup coconut milk + 1 cup frozen blueberries & .5 cup frozen banana + 20 grams of collagen protein + 1/2 tbsp. coconut cream + 1 tbsp chia seeds + 1 tbsp colostrum powder

1 cup oat milk (MALK brand) + 1.5 cup frozen mango +20 grams collagen protein + 1/2 tbsp. avocado + 1 tbsp ground organic ginger (ground - optional)
