Progesterone Boosting Smoothie

Progesterone is the hormone that prepares the uterus to receive a fertilized egg. It's a calming, relaxing, immune-supporting hormone that is needed for overall health and vitality.


You might already know this, but vitamin whole food C is essential in the creation of progesterone. This "progesterone boosting" smoothie will support your progesterone production by giving you tons of whole food vitamin C.


Ingredients:

  • frozen acerola cherry puree (4 oz.)

  • 1/2 cup frozen organic strawberries

  • 1/4 cup frozen wild blueberries

  • 1/2 cup organic raw milk or coconut milk

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 30 grams of collagen protein

  • 1/2 cup organic yogurt (optional, add if you want more protein)


Steps:


  1. In a blender, add frozen cherry, 1/2 frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup milk, maple syrup, and collagen

  2. Add ice until desired consistency, and blend until smooth

  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!


Brand suggestions:

Acerola cherry - Trader Joes, Ama Fruits Brand, or Sambazon

Maple syrup - any organic, grade A maple syrup

Collagen - Great Lakes collagen
