Homemade Matcha Face Mask

Matcha has many internal benefits, but did you know that it also has external benefits? When applied topically on the skin, matcha exfoliates, provides antioxidants, and helps reduce inflammation and skin puffiness.


If you have matcha powder on hand, then all you need in addition is honey.


Ingredients:

1 tsp. matcha (I suggest ceremonial grade)

1 tsp. raw honey


Instructions:


Mix matcha and honey in a small bowl, apply to face (while avoiding eyes), and allow to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water (rub into skin to exfoliate), pat dry, and apply moisturizer or skin serums. After using a mask like this, you might find that a light serum, such as the Cocokind vitamin C + sea caviar serum is a good choice, versus a heavy moisturizer.


Although this is a simple recipe, the combination of matcha and honey will provide refreshment and a glow to your skin. I suggest using this mask a maximum of 3 times a week, and avoiding using it two nights in a row.
