Delicious Strawberry Banana Smoothie
This classic smoothie often gets flipped into a drink that's void of protein, but it really does not have to be that way. I always make sure to add protein to my smoothies - egg whites (pasteurized), collagen, yogurt, or goat whey. Try making this one with goat whey, or use yogurt in place if that's what you have on hand.
What you will need: Frozen Organic Strawberries (you can find a huge bag of them at most grocery stores), one banana, and Mt. Capra Goat Whey.
Instructions: Mix 7 strawberries, one banana, one scoop of vanilla protein, a handful of ice, and water together in a blender. I would start with a little over 1/4 cup of water, and more can be added after blending if it's too thick.
This recipe is simple, but is's delicious. For an added boost of protein, add 2 scoops of collagen. I don't suggest having smoothies as a meal, so try to enjoy as a snack, or add solid food on the side - like some shredded chicken and veggies.
