Delicious Blood Sugar Stabilizing Coffee Creamer

While many of you know that I'm a huge fan of raw egg yolk lattes (with collagen for extra protein), there seems to be a common request for a coffee creamer alternative recently. This coffee creamer recipe below is so easy, stays fresh for about 3 days, and is easy to add to cold brew, hot coffee, or add on top of espresso shots. Next time you're at the grocery store, grab these items and whip up your own coffee creamer! The amount of fat in this creamer + the blood sugar friendly spices will work to keep your blood-sugar balanced. I always suggest drinking coffee AFTER breakfast, so please keep this in mind.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup organic heavy whipping cream

2 tbsp. maple syrup

2 tsp. organic ground cinnamon

1 tsp. organic ground nutmeg

1 tbsp. organic vanilla extract (I use the brand Simply Organic)

How to make it:

The easiest way to make this is to get a small glass jar with a lid. Pour your whipping cream into the jar, then add maple syrup, spices (cinnamon + nutmeg), and finally add your vanilla. Whisk with a fork for about 45 seconds, then put the lid on. For less of a thick consistency, add 2 tbsp. regular milk. Place lid on, store in the fridge, and aim to use about 2 tbsp. per serving of coffee. If you want to use more (for a latte, for example), then adding milk might be in your best interest so it's not too sweet.

Dairy free swap:

I totally understand that many women feel better without dairy, so please note that you can use coconut cream in place of the heavy whipping cream, and coconut milk instead of the regular milk.
