Support Detoxification with Castor Oil Packs

Castor oil packs are an amazing tool to use in your health journey. I often recommend them to my clients, especially when they are struggling with liver-related health situations, like acne, painful periods, sluggish detoxification, ovarian cysts, fibrocystic breasts, or histamine intolerance.

Castor oil packs can:

  • Support the liver's ability to detoxify the body

  • Stimulate digestion

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Reduce nausea

  • Support the immune system by improving lymphatic flow

  • Increases T-11 cells, which are lymphocytes that originate from the bone marrow and thymus gland, that are responsible for killing pathogens, harmful bacteria, and cancer cells

Please note: if you are pregnant or think that you might be pregnant, it is not suggested that you do castor oil packs. It also is best to do castor oil packs while you are not on your period, as castor oil can increase blood flow.

In this video, I review the steps you need to do a castor oil pack successfully. Please watch the video for full instructions, and see below for a breakdown of the steps.

  1. Pour castor oil on wool flannel until soaked thoroughly

  2. Lie down, and place soaked wool flannel on bare skin, over the liver (under the right breast), and cover with an old towel (be careful, castor oil does stain)

  3. Place a heating pad or hot water bottle (optional) over castor oil pack to enhance benefits

  4. Relax for at least 30 minutes while laying down with the castor oil pack, and when finished, remove carefully

  5. After you are finished, it is suggested that you rinse off in the shower with soap and water or use a washcloth that contains a small amount of soap (which will help break the oil down and remove residue)
